This composition was commissioned as part of a new initiative by the Lithuanian Music Information Center – the then newly opened online platform “Children’s Room,” which contains dozens of new sheet music for beginner and advanced students. Thirteen composers contributed their scores at the time, which then led to a long-term collection of educational repertoire.

“While working on this project, it was obvious that some composers are made to create music for children. For them, it seems that a melody is born without much effort, which you want to continue humming in your mind, or a catchy rhythm pattern is effortlessly rolled out. It is extremely important for children to be engaged by the music and not let go. This contributes to the enthusiasm of the little ones to learn and overcome more complex musical tasks,” commented project curator Eglė Bertašienė.
