The piece is a journey Through (something) For (something), concerning the reasons that only I know about. It is a journey from academic writing into the pop dance world that I was less familiar with, and merging two into one. Written during my study years, this was a time when I started to discover electronics, and merging them with acoustic instruments. It was an interesting process of writing first the electronic music track, created from developing samples, where the flute quartet functions as one body, also imitating a growing rhythmical sample-like structure in different parts of the sections. Some of the samples I created myself from heavily modified instrumental sounds, and some of them I borrowed from sample collections for popular music, so you can hear the piece is in two different moods – the first half, that is quite serious and academic, gradually unfold into Carribean-style dancy textures.
