Programme Note
The piece was composed for a concert to be played alongside Stravinsky’s Soldier’s Tale. While I did not try to imitate the piece in any way, some resemblence is certainly there at times, as I know and admire that work. The narrator was included for exactly this reason, although later piece was arranged to not have a narrator for further performances. Commissioned by In Spe (cond. Ričardas Šumila).
